Artificial Christmas Tree Storage
Ideas

If you're storing
your artificial Christmas tree in a beat up cardboard box, you might consider
better Christmas tree storage options. For instance, an artificial tree storage bag
may better protect and maintain your tree.

There are several types of containers that you can store
artificial Christmas trees in (besides the beat up box it came in that it never
seems to fit properly back in). For instance, you can use an artificial
Christmas tree storage bag.
♦This one to the left is from Organize.com. It's a
Deluxe Titanium Collection Artificial Tree Storage Bag
that holds up to a nine-foot artificial
tree. Christmas tree storage bags are built long and sturdy
to hold tall, heavy artificial trees. This one has a polyester
shell and nylon zippers plus it has metal handles that help you to carry it.
♦Another option for artificial Christmas tree storage is a long, rectangular plastic container with a lid.
If you're taking your artificial tree apart each year, a plastic container
similar in rectangular shape and size to the box that the tree came in is a
better storage option than the original box. In fact, you might get a
container that's a few inches bigger than the original box. The manufacturers
who packed the tree in the original box have a well-learned probably automated
process for getting the tree in the box just so without any extra space. But
once you unpack the tree, you never can get it in exactly the same, which is why
you can't comfortably close the lid again. So a plastic container slightly
larger than the original box will solve this dilemma and keep you from having to
crush your tree parts back into the box. The one pictured above is a

♦Both options, the artificial tree storage bag or the rectangular plastic
container keep dust, moisture and bugs out when sealed properly.
♦Both of the options above work well for typical full-size artificial Christmas
trees. If you have miniature artificial Christmas trees, you might store them in
smaller plastic containers. Some plastic totes are even deep enough to hold tiny
miniature trees upright in them. However, if you do this, you still might add
some packing material around the mini tree to keep it from tipping over and
getting damaged when you move the tote.
