♦Use a
flat-backed basket (which sits on a shelf or hangs on a wall) to contain
multiple eyeglass cases in a vertical position.
♦Then always keep the basket (or whatever container you use)
in the same spot. By the telephone is a good spot since you or family members
may grab reading glasses to jot phone messages or read phone books. The office
desk or bill paying desk is a good place too. So is on a bedside night stand or
table. The concept here is to put the
container that holds your eyeglasses where you're likely to use them most.
♦And when you remove your eyeglasses, or find your family
members' eyeglasses laying around, always return them to the eyeglass holders in
this basket or container. After a while, everyone will know where they left
their eyeglasses when they need them. And if they're not there, then they truly are
lost!
♦You also can use single eyeglass holders without a container.
They have freestanding bases so that these holders stand vertically.
If you only have one or two pairs to contain, these eyeglass holders take less room than the
above idea for using a basket to contain multiple eyeglass cases.
♦The
Silver Eyeglass Holder and
Brass Eyeglass Holder pictured
above are from Lillian
Vernon. They would make a great gift even for someone who doesn't even wear
eyeglasses or reading glasses too because you could also use them for holding
your spare pair of sunglasses. Lots of people keep extra sunglasses around
indoors to use in the backyard at the pool or while gardening.
