♦Buy rolls of gift wrap paper in solid colors or simple
patterns (e.g. plaid, stripes) in neutral colors like red, blue, green, silver
and gold. Those colors work for multiple holidays and occasions ranging from
Christmas to weddings to graduations.
♦Store all wrapping paper, bows, scissors, tape, gift tags,
pens, gift bags and tissue paper together year-round. Many stores sell gift wrap storage
centers or gift wrap organizers
specifically for this usage but
you can use other types of storage bins too.
♦For instance, discount retailers and organizing stores sell
long rectangular bins that are a couple inches deep and on wheels. It's
under-the-bed storage and it's the perfect place to keep your gift wrap center
handy but hidden.
♦Or get a
plastic box (no wheels on this one) to store under the bed and fill with gift
wrap paper:

♦Ever
seen these cardboard dressers? They're comprised of four corrugated cardboard
drawers. Some have a section behind the drawers to hold gift wrap rolls vertically.
Carry it room to room by its handle. These types of cardboard drawers and gift
wrap organizers are very sturdy and will last for many years under normal usage
conditions. I've owned one for 10+ years and it was in
great shape when I gave it away to move onto something different. Plus I've
owned just the ordinary one (no special sections for gift wrap or handles) that
I used for small clothing items for years and now my spouse uses it in a closet
for miscellaneous items and small paper work. If you use it for ribbon,
decoration storage, just put your cardboard "gift wrap center" in a bedroom closet or keep it
handy for year-round holidays in another corner of your home.
