►Keep one telephone book in your home under or by the main
telephone. You might keep it in a nearby drawer that all family members know
about.
►If you have a home office with a second telephone, put
another telephone directory in there. This will at least save you a few steps if you
make a lot of calls (and you don't want to waste money on information assistance
or time by doing Internet lookups that are easily found quicker in your local
phone book).
►If you have a lot of guests and a guest room, put
a phone directory in
there. They may want to check out local restaurants and such.
►If you have yet another
telephone book, put it in the car. If you only
have two phone books, always put one in your home and one in your car. You'll be
amazed at how often you need a phone book in the car (don't waste your cellular
digital minutes or money on information from your cell phone). Just be sure to
store it safely in the car, such as somewhere that it won't become a flying
missile should you get in a fender bender or worse.
►Trash or recycle any remaining
telephone book directories. Also
check with your child's school to inquire if they do a telephone book drive each
year.
