Store Paper Plates Here

If you use paper plates to warm things in your microwave oven
or Styrofoam plates for some of your meals, you'd probably like to keep these
handy. For a long time, I used an inexpensive wooden plate dispenser/holder that
mounted to the wall for holding these type plates. It looked great and worked
great for many years--until the manufacturers either started making bigger
plates or my store just started selling a bigger size Styrofoam plate. Then it
broke from trying to shove plates that were too large into it. So first, I
highly recommend that you know what size diameter plate you typically use. Then
find an appropriate plate holder or dispenser to fit it. These plate holders and
dispensers really are indispensable and handy in your kitchen.

This
Pop-A-Plate Paper Plate Dispenser
to the left is from Organize.com and mounts
underneath your kitchen cabinets. Paper plate holders that mount underneath
cabinets like this one or ones that mount on walls are ideal because they save
shelf and counter space. If you frequently use paper plates to warm items in
your microwave, you might want to hang the dispenser closer to it just to be
more organized and have it convenient to where you most use the item.
If you're getting the above under-cabinet paper plate
dispenser, you might want the almost matching

, also from Organize.com.
Another good thing about this napkin dispenser is unlike the vertical
freestanding napkin holders, family members won't pull out more than one napkin
at a time. It prevents napkin waste and keeps the napkins off of your counter,
especially those pulled loose from the free-standing napkin holder by a messy
family member. Napkins will stay put until you need them!

Here's the type of paper plate hanger that hangs on a wall by
one screw. This is the type I had for many years (till I started shoving those too
big Styrofoam plates into it). Notice this one is pictured with your average
size paper plate inside it. If you use paper plates in the microwave, this will
come in handy for nearby paper plate storage.
