♦You might use ribbon to decorate gift packages and fasten
labels to items, to adorn craft projects or in scrapbook projects. However
you use it, ribbon users will agree on one thing. Ribbon seems to magically
unravel from its spool or roll all on its own and then transform itself into a
tangled mass. But ribbon organizers, ones you buy from a store or
makeshift ribbon organizers, can help solve this problem. Plus if you have more
than a few rolls of ribbons, you'll like a ribbon organizer or organizational
method for storing ribbon that allows you to see what you have at a glance and
work with it easily.
♦For scrapbook savvy ribbon users, stores sell craft ribbon organizers. These
usually hold more than just a few rolls of ribbons (and most craft enthusiasts
have more than a few rolls of ribbon). You'll usually find some craft ribbon
organizers or craft ribbon racks at eBay. Try this eBay link for

♦If you're frugal, go with a makeshift ribbon organizer. Use
small empty clean containers and boxes that once held food (such as a yogurt
container). Put one spool of ribbon in each single container. Put a hole through
the lid of the container and thread the ribbon through it.
♦If
you use a rectangular cardboard box that holds two or three ribbon rolls
side-by-side (like a saltine cracker box or even a shoe box) you'll need to put
a makeshift spindle or rod through the full width of the box (you slide the
rolls onto the spindle). Then you can still put a hole in the top or front of
the box to pull each different ribbon through.
♦If you just like to throw your spools of ribbon in one single
box, consider using a cute cylindrical hat box. Or decorate a used shoe box with
some contact paper from the dollar store.
